Oaxaca Governor Salomón Jara gives $100 million in credits and seed aid to women entrepreneurs and farmers in Istmo de T

Governor Salomón Jara Cruz of Oaxaca handed out 1,510 "Tanda Mujer Primavera" micro‑credits in the municipality of Heroica Ciudad de Juchitán de Zaragoza. The distribution included 1,206 new credits of 5,000 pesos each and 304 expanded credits of 10,000 pesos, part of a program with a 100‑million‑peso budget.

In Asunción Ixtaltepec, Jara delivered improved, non‑transgenic sorghum seed, fertilizers, bio‑insumos and technical assistance to benefit 19 municipalities in the Istmo de Tehuantepec region. Additional support comprised a milk‑collection transport unit, interest‑free loans and post‑larvae of shrimp to strengthen aquaculture production. The initiative aims to bolster women entrepreneurs, farm workers and regional food sovereignty.
