Oaxaca hosts sports tournaments and education summit

Various sporting and educational events are scheduled to take place in Oaxaca, Mexico.

In Huatulco, physical education specialists will convene from August 24 to 26 to discuss the challenges facing the discipline. During this meeting, Dr. Manuel Aguilar García will present his book, ‘Retos de la Educación Fisica y la práctica Docente’, which addresses pedagogical shifts and the social impact of physical education in an era of increasing sedentary lifestyles.

Additionally, the ‘3ª Convivencia deportiva de básquetbol’ will be held at the Bahías de Huatulco sports unit on August 21 and 22. The tournament features youth categories for both males and females, involving teams such as Cuervos, Soles, and Linces de Huatulco.

In another regional competition, the ‘Copa Tule 2026’ will take place on August 22 and 23. This 16-team free category tournament will conclude with a grand final on Sunday afternoon, offering cash prizes to the top four finishers.
