During an ordinary session of the LXVI Legislature of the Oaxaca State Congress, Deputy María Eulalia Velasco Ramírez highlighted the impact of federal projects and the leadership of President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo in the state. Velasco Ramírez noted that the President's working tour brought high-impact social programs to Oaxaca, focusing on sectors such as health, housing, infrastructure, and food sovereignty.
Key initiatives mentioned include the "El Maíz es la Raíz" program in Santiago Suchilquitongo, the Lázaro Cárdenas General Plan for artisanal roads in the Mixteca region, and housing actions in Huajuapan de León. Additionally, construction has begun on the Regional General Hospital of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) in San Lorenzo Cacaotepec, which will coordinate services with ISSSTE and IMSS Bienestar to serve both insured and uninsured populations.
The Deputy also emphasized the importance of female empowerment, stating that the presence of Mexico's first female president sends a message of inclusion to women, artisans, and farmers in the state.
