Oaxaca police seize crystal and marijuana, arrest two in Etla raid
On 24 June 2026, law‑enforcement units in the Etla district of Oaxaca’s Valles Centrales region carried out a coordinated patrol in Santiago Suchilquitongo. Officers from the State Investigation Agency, the Regional Control Vice‑prosecutor’s Office and municipal police stopped a black Italika motorcycle and detained two male occupants.
A search uncovered 39 zip‑lock bags containing a granular substance identified as crystal and 10 small bags of dried marijuana. The motorcycle was also seized. The men, identified by the initials J.F.C.A. and C.F.M.C., were placed under the authority of the state prosecutor for alleged violations of drug‑related health statutes.
The Oaxaca Attorney General’s Office said the operation demonstrates its continued effort to strengthen coordinated security actions and combat drug distribution throughout the state.
