In Oaxaca, Mexico, five young workers from San Andrés El Alto died in a cabin in San Pedro Cajonos. Preliminary investigations by the Oaxaca State Prosecutor's Office indicate the deaths were caused by asphyxiation due to carbon dioxide inhalation. The victims, who were in the region for pest control work, were found in a room where a portable fuel-powered generator had been left running in a poorly ventilated space.

In Venezuela, rescue teams and volunteers have recovered the bodies of seven members of a single family from the rubble of the Residencias Bahía Mar in La Guaira. The discovery comes 55 days after devastating earthquakes struck the region on June 24. The victims, including a daughter and granddaughter of Maru Goncalves, were reportedly inside a vehicle in the parking area near the elevators when the building collapsed. Drones were utilized to assist in locating the remains.
