Obama Presidential Center implements PIXERA media servers

The Obama Presidential Center in Chicago has implemented a centralized media playback system using PIXERA media servers from AV Stumpfl. The system manages 35 different media setups across the museum's eight-story campus, which includes four floors of public museum space.

The installation includes 23 exhibits with single displays and seven applications utilizing multiple screens, some featuring up to eleven screens. A major highlight is the ‘Power of Words’ projection, a large-scale installation that spans all four exhibition levels. This system synchronizes approximately 40 audio tracks and sends UDP commands to the lighting control system.

To facilitate ease of use, the Obama Foundation's AV team developed custom web interfaces within PIXERA Control, which are integrated into the museum's central control platform, Isaac. The center, which opened on June 19, 2026, uses these digital technologies to tell the story of American democracy and the lives of Barack and Michelle Obama.
