Oberá announces ornamentation contest for National Immigrant Festival
The City of Oberá's Directorate of Tourism, Recreation, and Culture, in collaboration with the Federation of Collectivities, has announced an ornamentation contest for the 46th National Immigrant Festival, scheduled for September 3–13, 2026.
Local residents, businesses, and institutions are invited to decorate their properties with themes inspired by immigrant traditions to celebrate the city's cultural roots and identity. The contest features two categories: Family Housing and Businesses/Institutions. Registration is open from August 18 until September 4.
A jury composed of representatives from the Municipality, the City Council, the Federation of Collectivities, and the Argentine Cultural Center will evaluate entries based on creativity, design, presentation, and the significance of ancestral elements. Prizes for the Family Housing category include property tax credits and commemorative plaques, while the Business and Institution category will award plaques and certificates to the top three winners.
