Oberá City Council names new Villa Lindstrom park

The City Council of Oberá has officially approved an ordinance to name the new green space in Villa Lindstrom as ‘Plaza Lindstrom’. The park is located between Mora and Jabuticaba streets.

The naming initiative was driven by the neighborhood's Commission, aiming to honor the community's history and identity. The Lindstrom surname is tied to the original Swedish settler families who contributed to the development of the area. The proposal also recognizes the local pioneers and residents who worked to manage improvements and secure a dedicated community space.

Julio López, president of the Villa Lindstrom Neighborhood Commission, expressed satisfaction with the decision, noting that the project has been in development for approximately four to five years. He highlighted that the space will provide a significant improvement for local families and children.
