OberA survey reveals high industrial pollutant exposure in France
A national survey conducted by OberA involving 4,200 professionals has revealed widespread and often underestimated exposure to pollutants in French industrial sectors. The study highlights that daily exposure to dust, fumes, solvents, and fine particles has become a routine in many workplaces, leading to significant health risks.
Exposure rates vary by industry. Approximately 65% of workers in the stone, concrete, and mineral industries, and 63% in the wood industry, report daily exposure to dust and fumes. Other sectors facing high daily exposure include metallurgy (56%), recycling (54%), and composites (53%). Even in sectors typically perceived as cleaner, such as food processing (34%) and chemical-pharmaceuticals (31%), significant daily exposure remains prevalent.
In response to these findings, OberA, an Alsatian company specializing in industrial air treatment, utilizes its ClearAir 360° service to provide audits and air quality diagnostics. The company manufactures its purification technologies in France, aiming to convert industrial awareness of pollution risks into the adoption of air treatment solutions.
