Obergurgl mountain hiking week features Alpine treks

A group of seven participants completed a challenging mountain hiking week in the Obergurgl region of the Ötztal valley from August 29 to September 4. Led by a guide from DAV Passau, the group traveled via public transport from Passau to the area.

The itinerary included various high-altitude treks, such as a hike to the lakes above Obergurgl via the Gurgler Scharte and an archaeological high trail. The group also performed a cross-border hike from South Tyrol over the Königsjoch back into Tyrol, visited the Rotmoosferner glacier, and hiked from the Tiefenbachferner toward Vent. The week concluded with a demanding tour toward the Piccard Bridge.
