Oberoi Hotels unveils luxury resort plans for Wadi Safar

Oberoi Hotels & Resorts has unveiled details for The Oberoi Sukoonvilas, Wadi Safar, a luxury resort currently under development in Saudi Arabia. Located approximately 30 minutes from Riyadh near the UNESCO World Heritage Site of At-Turaif in Diriyah, the resort is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2027.

Spanning over 37 acres atop a 70-metre escarpment, the property will include 60 standalone villas and 10 branded residences. The design, led by architectural firm Aedas with interiors by Blink, is inspired by traditional Najdi architecture and emphasizes a connection between indoor and outdoor living through shaded courtyards and waterbodies.

Dining options at the resort will include contemporary Indian cuisine at Yatra, curated by Michelin-starred Chef Rohit Ghai, as well as international cuisine at Beyla and artisanal offerings at Linnet. The resort will also feature the ASMI by Oberoi wellness programme.
