Oberviechtach Mayor participates in crime dinner theater
The OVIGO Theater hosted a successful crime dinner performance titled ‘The Secret of the Blood Countess’ at the Emil-Kemmer-Haus restaurant in Oberviechtach. Set in 1971 at Schloss Schächtitz in the Slovakian Carpathians, the play draws inspiration from the historical figure Elisabeth Báthory.
During the event, Oberviechtach Mayor Rudolf Teplitzky took on a special role, portraying the new Count Báthory. In a dramatic plot twist, the character was murdered with a stake to the heart in front of the audience during a four-course meal. Following the performance, the theater announced plans to tour the Upper Palatinate region, with upcoming shows scheduled in Bodenwöhr, Schwandorf, and Sulzbach-Rosenberg.
