Obiliq officials report suspected drug cultivation in former technical school

The Mayor of Obiliq, Halil Thaçi, has reported a suspected attempt to cultivate narcotic substances in the basement of a former technical school. The suspicious items were discovered by workers from the Kastrioti Public Enterprise during a cleaning operation at the facility.

Thaçi clarified that while police and anti-drug units are investigating the nature of the substances, there is currently no evidence or suspicion regarding the presence of mass graves at the site, despite previous claims. He noted that the building has been misused by various individuals since 1990.

The municipality intends to clean the premises and restore the building to its original function as a technical school.
