Obituaries: Pediatrician Anna Jung-Hauska and Priest Józef Gałecki pass away

Professor Anna Jung-Hauska, a prominent pediatrician, nephrologist, and allergist, has passed away. She served as the head of the Clinic of Pediatrics, Nephrology, and Pediatric Allergology at the Military Institute of Medicine from 1991 to 2014. Her scientific work focused on pediatric nephrology, allergy, and the use of thermography in medicine.

Separately, the Opole Diocese has announced the death of Father Józef Gałecki. He passed away on August 25, 2026, at the age of 75, after 49 years of priesthood. Gałecki served as the parish priest in Płużnica Wielka from 2013 until his retirement in 2025.
