Obituaries: Phyllis B. Wendt, 101, and Phyllis L. Ward, 83

Phyllis B. Wendt, age 101, passed away on July 29, 2026, in West Bend, Wisconsin. She was a longtime resident, former crossing guard, and employee at Pauly Cheese Company, Libbey’s Lab, and Amity Leather. Wendt was a devoted member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and is survived by her children, grandchildren and great‑grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church on August 8, 2026.

Phyllis L. Ward, age 83, died on July 24, 2026, in Seattle, Washington. Born in Idaho, she worked in publishing, construction, and as an office manager before retiring in 2007. Ward lived with her partner Edith Windolf for 45 years and was active in her West Seattle community. She is survived by relatives in Germany and three cats. She requested donations to Emerald City Pet Rescue in lieu of a memorial service.
