Obituary: Geraldine E. Colpritt, 83, of Scarborough, Maine

Geraldine E. (McMannis) Colpritt, known as “Gerry,” died peacefully on July 20, 2026, at age 83. Born in Portland, Maine, on March 23, 1943, she married Daniel “Bub” Colpritt in 1961 and was survived by three sons, grandchildren and great‑grandchildren. Gerry worked a lifetime of jobs ranging from the Portland waterfront to the Coast Guard Exchange, retiring in 2020. Her family remembered her for her humor, love of scratch tickets, casino visits, and dedication to friends and relatives. Funeral services are scheduled for August 1 at Scarborough Memorial Cemetery.

She was predeceased by her husband, parents, several siblings and a sister‑in‑law. The family expressed gratitude to staff at Portland Assisted Living and Pine Point Nursing Center for their care during her final years.
