Obliview secures seed investment from The Ventures to expand Malden brand

Obliview, the operator of the functional athleisure brand Malden, has secured seed investment from The Ventures. The investment amount remains undisclosed.

Since its launch in May 2021, Obliview has achieved a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 119%, surpassing 9 billion KRW in cumulative revenue. The company maintains a 60% gross profit margin and a 10% operating profit margin through a direct-to-consumer (D2C) model. Its core strength lies in its vertically integrated value chain, where a team of former apparel vendor experts manages everything from yarn selection and material testing to production and distribution.

Targeting the growing running and gymwear market, Malden has already expanded its international presence with online stores in Hong Kong and Singapore. The company is also pursuing expansion into Taiwan and Malaysia, and has collaborated with the WNBF in the United States. The new funding will be used to expand the runningwear lineup, diversify into accessories like running belts, and establish an influencer seeding marketing organization.
