Bethesda Announces Oblivion Remastered for Nintendo Switch 2, Launching August 11, 2026

Bethesda Game Studios confirmed that The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered will arrive on Nintendo Switch 2 on 11 August 2026. The port runs on Unreal Engine 5 and includes NVIDIA DLSS up‑scaling: 900 p at 30 fps in handheld mode and 1080 p at 30 fps when docked. The game will be sold both digitally and as a physical cartridge that contains the full base game, avoiding the game‑key‑card model used on other platforms. All original expansions – Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine – are included, along with a range of DLC such as Fighter’s Stronghold, Spell Tomes, Vile Lair, Mehrune’s Razor, The Thieves Den, Wizard’s Tower, The Orrery and the Horse Armor Pack. Control options are expanded for Switch 2, featuring motion controls, touch‑screen input and a configurable mouse mode for left‑ or right‑handed players. Pricing listed by Bethesda shows a standard edition at roughly $49.99 US and a deluxe edition at $59.99 US, the latter adding extra quests and exclusive armor sets. The announcement was made in partnership with Virtuos, the studio handling the technical port.
