Obour Market vegetable and fruit prices in Egypt

Vegetable and fruit prices at Egypt’s Obour wholesale market have shown fluctuations driven by supply and demand.

Vegetable prices include tomatoes ranging from 10 to 25 EGP per kilo, potatoes between 12 and 20 EGP, and onions between 8 and 15 EGP. Zucchini is priced between 18 and 30 EGP, while eggplant (baladi) ranges from 3.5 to 5.5 EGP. Other items include peppers, cucumbers, and various types of beans.

In the fruit sector, prices remain relatively stable. Oranges are priced between 11 and 20 EGP, and grapes range from 20 to 40 EGP. Mango varieties show significant price differences, with Owais mangoes reaching up to 150 EGP per kilo, while other varieties like Indian and Timur mangoes range between 60 and 80 EGP. Bananas and watermelons are also available within various price brackets.
