Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon to voice Hindi version of horror film Obsession

Bollywood actors Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon have been cast to provide the Hindi voices for the lead characters in the Hollywood horror film ‘Obsession’. The film, directed by Curry Barker, is scheduled to premiere on JioHotstar’s Peacock Hub on October 30, 2026, in both its original English and a Hindi dubbed version.

In the Hindi adaptation, Sanon will voice the character Nikki, originally played by Inde Navarrette, while Dhawan will voice Bear, originally played by Michael Johnston. The project marks Sanon’s first experience dubbing for another actor’s performance. The film follows a man who uses a mysterious object called the ‘One Wish Willow’ to make a colleague fall in love with him, leading to a violent and unsettling obsession.

Originally produced on a budget of approximately $750,000, ‘Obsession’ has become a significant global box office success, grossing over $500 million worldwide. JioStar executives noted that the Hindi version is part of an effort to make international content more accessible to a wider Indian audience.
