Obstetric services resume in Colline Metallifere

Obstetric consultation and assistance services are returning to the health districts of the Colline Metallifere region starting November 6. The initiative is a collaborative effort between local municipal administrations and the Azienda USL Toscana Sud Est.

The service will operate on a rotating weekly schedule across four municipalities from 9:00 to 13:00: Massa Marittima on the first Friday of the month, Gavorrano on the second, Montieri on the third, and Monterotondo Marittimo on the fourth.

In Massa Marittima, the return of the service follows a request from a group of women through the municipal Commission for Equal Opportunities. Grazia Gucci, the municipal assessor for social affairs and health, expressed that the return is a significant milestone and hopes it serves as a starting point for further service expansion.

For the first three months, patients can book appointments by calling the Follonica Clinic. Starting in February, officials will evaluate patient attendance to determine if new booking methods are required to meet organizational and patient needs.
