Oburu Oginga health rumors dismissed by ODM

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has dismissed circulating reports regarding the health of party leader Senator Oburu Oginga, labeling the claims as fake news.

In a statement issued on October 13, 2026, ODM Director of Communications Philip Etale noted that the senator’s family has been distressed by the spread of false information. Etale stated that Oginga is also disturbed by the rumors as he undergoes a period of rest and recuperation following several weeks of medical treatment both locally and abroad.

The party has appealed to the public to respect the senator’s privacy and allow him adequate time to regain his strength before returning to active public life. ODM cautioned against the dissemination of unverified information, warning that such reports cause unnecessary agony and pain to individuals and their families.
