Ocaña stabbing attack leads to arrest of suspect

A violent dispute between acquaintances in the Libardo Alonso sector of Ocaña, Colombia, resulted in a stabbing on the night of Saturday, August 22. Security footage captured the incident, showing Ciro Antonio Parada Caicedo pursuing 63-year-old Luis Fernando Castellanos Toloza with a knife for approximately one and a half blocks.

During the pursuit, Castellanos attempted to defend himself using a bag, but Parada eventually caught him and stabbed him three times in the abdomen and chest. Following the attack, the victim managed to push the assailant to the ground and flee to seek medical assistance. Castellanos was subsequently transported to the Hospital Emiro Quintero Cañizares for emergency treatment.

Parada fled the scene but was later apprehended in flagrante by the police after neighbors alerted authorities to his location. Witnesses identified him as the individual responsible for the assault.
