OCBC NISP posts 2.7 trillion Rupiah profit and moves to control 20% of Great Eastern Life Indonesia

PT Bank OCBC NISP Tbk reported a net profit of Rp2.7 trillion for the first half of 2026, a 6 percent year‑on‑year increase. Operating revenue rose to Rp6.9 trillion, total credit grew 11 percent to Rp185.3 trillion and deposits reached Rp239.9 trillion. The bank’s CASA ratio climbed to 60.5 percent, assets expanded to Rp329.5 trillion and equity to Rp44.4 trillion, while capital adequacy (CAR) stood at 23.1 percent and liquidity coverage ratio at 233.2 percent.

The bank also secured OJK approval to become the controlling shareholder of PT Great Eastern Life Indonesia, acquiring a 20 percent stake that will raise its total assets to about Rp323.7 trillion by end‑2025. The move complies with Indonesia’s financial conglomerate regulations, positioning OCBC Indonesia as the parent entity (PIKK) for the life‑insurance group.
