Occitanie celebrates autumn with wine and gastronomy events

Regional autumn celebrations in France have highlighted local viticulture and gastronomy through various community events in the Occitanie region.

In Balazuc, Ardèche, the Caveau de la Chazotte hosted approximately sixty enthusiasts for a tasting of new wine paired with roasted chestnuts, known as castagnade. The event focused on celebrating local Ardèche wines and seasonal flavors.

In the Tarn department, the Gaillac vineyard hosted a traveling banquet as part of the national ‘Vignobles en Scène’ event. Participants took part in a 7 km walk through the ‘Vallon de la Caude’ in Cestayrols, featuring four gourmet stops. The itinerary included an aperitif at Château Lacroux, an appetizer at Plancas, a hot meal cooked on a brazier at the organic and biodynamic Château Les Vignals, and dessert at the Lincarque church.
