Occitanie cultural events scheduled for October 2026

The Occitanie region of France will host several cultural events in October 2026. The Musée régional d’art contemporain (Mrac) in Sérignan has announced a program featuring guided tours of the “Stop The Machine!” exhibition on October 18. The museum will also host family workshops on October 21 and creative sessions led by artist Guillaume Boilley on October 22 and 23.

In Narbonne, the Rencontres d’Archéologie de la Narbonnaise will take place from October 14 to 17. The event aims to present archaeology through diverse media, including documentary films, comics, and virtual reality. Highlights include a day dedicated to combat and duels on October 17, featuring demonstrations by the “Lorica Romana” legion and a gladiator school for children. The festival will also introduce its first immersive competition using virtual reality technology at La Poudrière.
