Occitanie heritage events: Goudargues night tour and Corbières Festa Occitana

The Provence Occitane tourism office organized a free guided night tour of the village of Goudargues on 27 July. Starting at 18:30 from the tourism office, visitors walk the historic lanes and canals while guides share local anecdotes and heritage details.

Earlier, on 11 July, the Festa Occitana celebration took place in Corbières. Organized by Corbières Solidarité and the Païs Nòstre movement, the event featured a procession from Sainte‑Thérèse church along the river Berre, a mass conducted in the Occitan language, traditional songs, and a communal meal of mussels and fries. Speakers highlighted the region’s history and advocated for the inclusion of the Cathar castles on the UNESCO World Heritage list.
