Occult film ‘Modup’ to begin filming with Yoo Hae-jin and Im Si-wan
The occult mystery film ‘Modup’ is set to begin filming on September 4. Distributed by Showbox, the film is set on a remote island during the 1960s and follows the interconnected stories of people caught in mysterious events.
The cast features Yoo Hae-jin as Lee Do, a village chief who guards the island, and Im Si-wan as his son, Sang-gun. Kim So-hyun will make her return to the big screen after approximately ten years, playing Seon-ok, a character who travels to the island to seek a cure for an unknown illness. Lee Mu-saeng joins the cast as Gu-taek, Seon-ok's father.
This project marks the feature film directorial debut of Park Jong-hyun, who previously worked in the production departments of films such as ‘Broker’. Kang Yun-seong, known for ‘The Roundup’ series, is participating as a producer.
