Ocean City Firefighter Kenny Pollock Honored After Death

Kenny Pollock, a 47‑year‑old Ocean City firefighter, died after a year‑long battle with two rare cancers – lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma and primary CNS lymphoma. He had served the Ocean City Fire Department for 18 years and was also known locally as a bartender at Charlie’s Bar in Somers Point. In tribute, Charlie’s Bar turned off its neon entrance sign and posted a memorial on Facebook, while friends, former classmates from Mainland Regional High School and fellow firefighters shared condolences on social media. The community in South Jersey remembered Pollock for his kindness, humor and dedication, describing him as a beloved friend and colleague.
