Global mining firms report new drilling and production updates
Global mining companies are reporting diverse developments in gold and copper exploration and production.
In Canada, White Gold Corp. announced a preliminary economic assessment for its namesake project, projecting a C$1.9 billion post-tax net present value. Gold X2 Mining Inc. reported high-grade gold intersections during infill drilling at its Moss Gold Project in Ontario.
In Greenland, Amaroq Ltd. has commenced its 2026 resource drilling programme at the Nanoq gold project, aiming for a maiden Mineral Resource Estimate later this year. In Finland, Gemdale Gold reported significant drill results at its Pontio Gold Project, including a high-grade intersection of 14.01 g/t gold.
In South America, Galantas Gold is expanding its drill program at the Indiana gold-copper project in Chile following the discovery of disseminated sulphide mineralization. Meanwhile, McEwen Copper is advancing the Los Azules copper, gold, and silver project in Argentina toward a final investment decision, with production targeted for 2030.
Regarding production, Torex Gold Resources reported second-quarter results that remain on track for full-year guidance despite lower-grade mining, while B2Gold's Otjikoto mine increased its 2026 production guidance following strong first-half results. Additionally, Gold.com reported second-quarter gold production above guidance, supported by progress on major growth projects.
