Oceaneering International upgraded to ‘strong-buy’ by Zacks Research
Oceaneering International (NYSE: OII) has received a ‘strong-buy’ rating upgrade from Zacks Research, moving up from a ‘hold’ position. The company, an offshore services firm with a market capitalization of approximately $4.35 billion, has seen various analyst adjustments recently. While Wall Street Zen downgraded the stock to ‘hold’ in early August, Barclays raised its price target to $47.00, and Citigroup increased its price objective to $52.00.
Growth for the company is being driven by its subsea robotics segment, which is currently its largest and fastest-growing revenue stream. Analysts note that the company has outperformed both the S&P 500 and energy sector benchmarks this year. Despite a sub-investment-grade credit rating and sector volatility, the company shows improving operating margins and rising operating cash flow, positioning it as a potential growth candidate through 2027.
