Latin American music scene features festivals and sustainability initiatives

Various musical events and initiatives are taking place across Latin America. In Mexico, OCESA implemented sustainability and inclusion measures during Natanael Cano’s concerts at Estadio GNP Seguros, including waste reduction, compostable materials, and improved accessibility for hearing-impaired attendees.

In Chile, the third edition of the Latin American Academy of Advanced Music (ALMA), a collaboration between Teatro del Lago and the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía, will conclude with a concert in Frutillar featuring young musicians from across the region.

In Argentina, the eighth edition of the Festival Urbano in Moreno drew 45,000 people, headlined by Cazzu. Additionally, the San Nicolás Jazz Festival is scheduled for October 2026, featuring a tribute to Miles Davis. In Uruguay, the Suena F municipal meeting provided a platform for emerging musicians to perform in a community setting.
