Ocoa Futuro Institute implements ISO 21001:2025 standards

The Ocoa Futuro Training Institute (ICOF), part of the INFOTEP network, has begun implementing the ISO 21001:2025 international standard to enhance its educational management processes. This initiative makes ICOF the first training center in the southern region of the Dominican Republic to adopt this specific standard, which was published by the International Organization for Standardization in July 2025.

The implementation process is expected to last approximately 10 months. Having completed the diagnostic phase, the institute will now focus on organizing and documenting academic and administrative processes, staff training, and system evaluation in preparation for official certification.

In addition to educational management, ICOF plans to integrate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria and regulatory compliance mechanisms into its model. This move aims to align educational quality with sustainability and transparency. The institute currently offers programs across eight areas, including technical-labor training, digital education, artificial intelligence, and agro-innovation.
