Ocotlán residents demand activation of Tlacomulco water well

Residents of Ocotlán are demanding answers regarding the non-operational status of the Tlacomulco well. Despite the project being completed, equipped, and paid for nearly two years ago with an investment of approximately four million pesos, the infrastructure remains inactive.

Local citizens have expressed frustration over the lack of official information and the failure to fulfill promises made by Governor Lorena Cuéllar Cisneros to resolve the conflict. A commission of 20 neighbors plans to visit the Tlaxcala Municipal Presidency to seek clarity on what is preventing the well from functioning and who is responsible for resolving the issue. Residents have warned that continued silence could lead to intensified protests, including street blockades and the occupation of the well site.
