Octavio Ocampo advocates for Michoacán infrastructure and agricultural development

Michoacán Deputy Octavio Ocampo has expressed his support for state development projects, specifically highlighting infrastructure and mobility investments. During a visit to Uruapan, Ocampo noted the importance of the 3.2 billion peso investment for the construction of a cable car system, arguing that such projects are vital for the city's strategic economic and social role. He cautioned against political interests that might attempt to obstruct or politicize essential infrastructure works.

In separate meetings in Villa Madero and Etúcuaro, Ocampo addressed the state's agricultural and artisanal sectors. He noted that Michoacán's agricultural production, including avocado, mango, and berries, accounts for 16 percent of the state economy, surpassing remittance income. Ocampo emphasized the need for improved security and employment for agricultural workers to ensure that natural wealth translates into local prosperity. Additionally, he met with mezcal producers in Etúcuaro to discuss the institutional support required to address challenges in production, commercialization, and designation of origin.
