Oddysseys releases self-recorded 16-track album ‘However You Want It’

Chicago-based post-punk band Oddysseys has released a new 16-track album titled ‘However You Want It’. The project was entirely self-financed, written, performed, engineered, and mixed by Christian Treon within a small Chicago apartment.

The album features a variety of musical styles, ranging from guitar-driven post-punk to industrial electronic passages. One track, ‘Cerbie’, was produced with a full crew, including mixing by John Barrett at Abbey Road, while other tracks were developed independently by Treon. The lyrical content includes influences from Pindar’s Olympian Odes.

Oddysseys, originally formed in Boston, continues to operate independently via Bandcamp and their own website without a record label. The band has scheduled live performances in Chicago at the Beat Kitchen on 19 August 2026 and the Cobra Lounge on 23 September 2026.
