C Food Norway Turns Profit After Fraud‑Induced Parent Bankruptcy
The Norwegian seafood firm C Food Norway announced a return to profitability following a cascade of events triggered by a fraud scandal involving a Chinese business partner that led to the bankruptcy of its parent company. The company has deployed robotic systems across five countries and secured a new major shareholder, bolstering its competitive position in the seafood market. Senior executives highlighted the strong earnings growth, noting that revenue has more than doubled and the firm generated tens of millions of kroner in profit, a milestone previously unattained. The turnaround is seen as a key step toward stabilising the sector after the earlier financial shock.
C Food Norway’s leadership also mentioned plans to attract additional capital to support further expansion and technology investment, aiming to consolidate its market lead amid a restructuring of the broader fish‑farming industry.
