Odemira expands educational support and local partnerships

The Municipality of Odemira has reactivated the ‘Roteiro OdeTE’ project and established several new partnerships to enhance educational services and community connections for local students.

The Roteiro OdeTE initiative is structured into three subprograms: ‘Mira a Terra’, focusing on environmental awareness and ecology; ‘SEMEAR’, which promotes local culture and heritage; and ‘Odemira Previne’, which addresses safety and health through risk prevention. This program involves collaborations with the Municipal Civil Protection Service, the GNR, Maritime Police, and local fire departments to support student development and school success.

Additionally, the municipality has secured agreements to improve school infrastructure and services. This includes a €1.22 million investment to provide healthy school meals for 2,924 students using local suppliers. Further funding of approximately €347,000 has been allocated to the ‘Full-Time School’ program for 678 children, while €265,000 is dedicated to Curricular Enrichment Activities (AEC). These enrichment programs offer 18 different sports, artistic, and scientific activities to approximately 800 students across 19 schools.
