Odense International Film Festival Announces Record 4,092 Short Films and New Music Video Competition
The 26th edition of the Odense International Film Festival (OFF26) will showcase a record 4,092 short films submitted from creators worldwide, alongside 30 music videos selected for a brand‑new competition. The festival runs in week 35 in the centre of Odense, featuring works from 49 countries and offering audiences a diverse program that spans drama, documentary, animation and experimental formats.
Odense’s city and culture councilor Lars Christian Lilleholt said the expansion strengthens the city’s cultural life and attractiveness, adding that “the festival continues to develop and draw so many films from around the world, giving residents and visitors the chance to experience film art.” Festival director Katrine Holst Anderson Vesterskov highlighted the program’s boldness and its focus on stories about family, identity, migration, power structures and personal change.
The new music‑video competition marks the first official inclusion of music videos in the festival’s lineup, aiming to broaden participation and support emerging creators.
