Odense–Svendborg rail line facing total service suspension in October

Commuters on the Odense–Svendborg rail line in Denmark face significant disruptions due to upcoming track work. Danish State Railways (DSB) has announced that all train connections on the Svendborg line will be canceled from October 3 to October 18.

During this period, replacement buses will be utilized to facilitate travel. Additionally, some schedule changes are already in effect due to a shortage of operational trains, affecting specific departures between Odense and Svendborg even before the full track closures begin. DSB noted that these specific train shortages are unrelated to the scheduled maintenance work.
