Russia launches massive missile and drone strikes across Ukraine

Russia launched a massive overnight aerial assault across ten regions of Ukraine, utilizing a combination of 129 drones and various missiles, including Iskander-M, Kalibr, and Kh-59/69 systems. Ukrainian air defenses reported intercepting over 200 aerial targets during the barrage.

In Odesa, a missile strike severely damaged a multi-story residential building, resulting in at least 16 to 37 injuries, including a five-month-old infant. Other strikes in the region targeted port infrastructure and transportation hubs. In Zaporizhzhia, drone attacks on residential areas killed two people and injured several others, while also striking the Zaporizhstal metallurgical plant.

Kryvyi Rih and Dnipro also faced significant strikes. In Kryvyi Rih, a missile hit an industrial facility, causing at least one death and multiple injuries. The Russian Ministry of Defense claimed these strikes targeted metallurgical enterprises producing military equipment. Additionally, a strike in Pavlohrad on a shopping center reportedly killed five people and injured 67.

In response, Ukraine conducted drone strikes against Russian territory, including an attack on a synthetic rubber production facility in Togliatti, Russia.
