Russia and Ukraine face drone strikes on residential buildings and infrastructure
A series of drone and missile strikes targeted residential and infrastructure sites in both Russia and Ukraine. In the Russian Black Sea port of Novorossiysk, drone debris damaged six residential buildings and a commercial structure, according to Mayor Andrei Kravchenko.
In Russia-occupied Crimea, Governor Mikhail Razvozhayev reported that over three dozen drones were intercepted near Sevastopol, causing minor damage to houses but no injuries.
In Ukraine, a Russian strike in the Odesa region killed two people and injured three others after hitting a tanker truck carrying oil residue, which subsequently caught fire. Another drone strike damaged a fifth-floor apartment in Odesa, though no casualties were reported in that specific instance.
Additionally, a Russian attack in Zaporizhzhia caused a fire at a shopping mall and resulted in power outages for approximately 1,200 consumers, according to Regional Governor Ivan Fedorov.
