Odesa supermarket struck by Russian Shahed drone

A Russian jet-powered Shahed drone struck a supermarket in the Odesa region, causing partial destruction to the building and damaging nearby vehicles. The attack resulted in three injuries, with emergency services attending the scene to provide assistance.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky described the incident as part of a continued campaign of terror against civilian infrastructure, including residential buildings and energy facilities. Zelensky characterized the strike as a pointed response to signals from the United States regarding the potential easing of sanctions against the Russian Federation. He emphasized that sanctions imposed by the US, Europe, and other partners must not be lifted while the war continues.
