Odette Kambou joins patriotic immersion program in Gaoua

Odette Kambou, a 40-year-old Franciscan Missionary of Mary nun, has joined the 2026 Mandatory Patriotic Immersion (IPO) program in Gaoua, Burkina Faso. Having recently obtained her baccalaureate, Kambou is the eldest participant at the Tielkan CEG training site.

Kambou participates fully in the program alongside younger recruits, engaging in drills, parades, and collective activities. She stated that the immersion is an opportunity to discover and live out values such as patriotism, responsibility, and integrity, which she intends to apply in her daily life and community.
