Odisha and Northeast Frontier Railway observe Vigilance Awareness Week

Odisha and the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) are set to observe Vigilance Awareness Week from October 26 to November 1, 2026, under the theme ‘Probity for Prosperity.’

In Odisha, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will lead the state-level function on October 27 at Lokseva Bhavan in Bhubaneswar. During the event, the Chief Minister will administer the Integrity Pledge to public servants from various government departments and public sector undertakings. The campaign includes statewide participation via video conferencing to all collectorates and block offices, alongside student competitions in debate, quiz, and art. Public outreach will feature rallies, walkathons, and awareness meetings in rural areas.

Simultaneously, the Northeast Frontier Railway will conduct activities to promote transparency and accountability. The observance includes the administration of the Integrity Pledge at NFR headquarters and the General Manager (Construction) office in Maligaon. Scheduled events include walkathons, a street play at Kamakhya Coaching Depot, and a workshop focused on preventive vigilance in contract management. The NFR's activities are part of a broader three-month preventive vigilance campaign running through November 16.
