Odisha CM flags off train for National Unity Day delegates
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi flagged off a special train from Bhubaneswar New Railway Station to Ekta Nagar, Gujarat. The train carries approximately 1,000 delegates from 19 Naxal-free districts of Odisha to participate in the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas parade.
The parade, held near the Statue of Unity, commemorates the 151st birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Chief Minister Majhi noted that the participation of these delegates symbolizes Odisha’s progress in peace, security, and development following efforts to eliminate Left-Wing Extremism.
Majhi credited the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, along with the efforts of security forces, for the progress in making the state and country Naxal-free. He highlighted the 'Gramodaya Plus' scheme, which delivers welfare programs to beneficiaries in 10 previously affected districts to aid their integration into the mainstream.
