Odisha Deputy CM advances tourism through temple upgrades and travel bazaar

Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida is spearheading initiatives to bolster the state’s tourism and hospitality sectors. In Bhubaneswar, Parida reviewed the development and beautification of the historic Shikhar Chandi Temple. The project aims to complete its first phase before the Navratri festival, focusing on improved infrastructure such as widened approach roads, parking arrangements, drinking water facilities, and rest areas to enhance the visitor experience.

Additionally, the state has announced the 7th edition of the Odisha Travel Bazaar (OTB) 2026, scheduled for October 3–5. Organized by the Department of Tourism in partnership with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), the B2B marketplace is expected to host over 92 private exhibitors and tour operators from 27 countries. The event aims to facilitate thousands of business meetings and serve as a platform for skill development, entrepreneurship, and investment for local youth.
