Odisha: Man and infant son killed by train in Jajpur

A man and his 18-month-old son died on Sunday evening after being hit by a train in the Jajpur district of Odisha. The victims have been identified as 30-year-old Bisu Penthei and his son, Dharama, both residents of Naya Bagapatia village.

The incident occurred near Naubahali village under the Sukinda police limits. Local villagers discovered the bodies on the tracks and alerted the Government Railway Police (GRP), who arrived at the scene to recover the remains and send them for post-mortem examinations.

Authorities have registered a case and initiated an investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the accident. Officials stated that the specific cause of the incident will be clarified once the post-mortem reports are received.
