Odisha Minister Mukesh Mahaling Emphasizes CSCs in Building Digital Odisha

On July 29, 2026, Odisha Health and Family Welfare Minister Mukesh Mahaling addressed the 17th Common Service Centre (CSC) Day in Bhubaneswar, stating that CSCs are a key pillar of the state’s “Digital Odisha” initiative. He highlighted that more than 45,000 CSCs now deliver a range of government, banking, digital education, telemedicine, and social‑security services directly to citizens, especially in rural and tribal areas.

Mahaling noted that the centres have enabled registration of over one crore women under the Subhadra Yojana, distribution of 1.76 crore Ayushman Bharat health cards, and enrolment of eight lakh beneficiaries in the Ayushman Vay Vandana scheme. He said the National Digital Health Mission allows rural residents to obtain digital health IDs and teleconsultations, and that CSCs have generated livelihood opportunities for nearly two lakh Village Level Entrepreneurs, facilitating business worth approximately Rs 12,800 crore.
