In Bhubaneswar, police arrested Arun Kumar Biswal, a 55-year-old Additional Secretary in the Transport Department, for the alleged sexual abuse of a junior female colleague. The victim, a contractual worker, reported that Biswal entered her home and used objectionable digital content to coerce her into a relationship over several months.

In Brahmapur, the Odisha Health and Family Welfare Department suspended Dr. Susanta Kumar Panigrahi, a psychiatrist, following allegations of witness intimidation. Police claim Dr. Panigrahi allowed former MLA Bikram Kumar Panda to use a mobile phone from a jail chamber to contact a witness while Panda was in custody.

Additionally, Odisha Vigilance officials apprehended an ICDS Supervisor, B. Uma Patro, and a Junior Revenue Assistant, Narasingha Behera, in Ganjam. The duo was caught accepting a Rs 30,000 bribe from an Anganwadi worker in exchange for releasing withheld house rent payments.
